Product Quality

   Departmental inspection sheets follow all projects through the shop requiring periodical dimensional checks. In addition, our portable articulating CMM arm permits surface deviation comparisons from CAD files. Pattern and raw casting quality inspections are also taken.
    Reverse engineering has been accomplished by collecting multiple points from prototype parts and transforming them into 3-D models. Implementation of a 3-D surface measurement capability based on data collected by the portable CMM measuring arm has significantly improved the product quality, reduced pattern and casting variation and contributed to improved manufacturing productivity.
